Scope of Service: BeyondVault.app provides a fully autonomous encryption tool that operates entirely within your browser. All processes, including Vault creation and encryption, are executed locally on your device. No data, files, keys, or personal information are transmitted to, stored, or processed by BeyondVault.app.
Full User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for securely managing, storing, and backing up your Vault file (.enc) and your private decryption key. BeyondVault.app does not retain copies of your data or keys and cannot assist in recovery under any circumstance. If you lose your private key or Vault file, it will be impossible to recover your encrypted content. The burden of data protection and redundancy lies entirely with you.
Data Privacy: BeyondVault.app does not collect, store, share, or process any personal data. No accounts are created, no cookies are set for tracking, and no cloud services are used. All operations occur 100% locally within your browser environment.
One-Time Payment: Vault creation requires a one-time payment. There are no ongoing subscriptions, maintenance fees, or hidden costs. Payments are final and non-refundable, even in the event of service discontinuation or technical incompatibility.
No Warranty: BeyondVault.app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim any warranties regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, or non-infringement. Use of the service is entirely at your own risk.
Technical Limitations: BeyondVault.app makes no guarantee that the service will be free of defects or errors. Issues may arise from, but are not limited to: browser incompatibilities, device failures, corrupted file systems, system crashes, malware, operating system updates, internet outages, or user mishandling. BeyondVault.app assumes no responsibility for any of these risks.
Force Majeure: BeyondVault.app declines any liability for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, acts of government, cyberattacks, supply chain disruptions, or technical failures of third-party services.
Service Discontinuation: Should BeyondVault.app cease operations permanently or temporarily, your Vault remains decryptable as long as you retain your .enc file and private key. Decryption remains possible using alternative tools, including but not limited to:
- Standard AES-GCM decryption utilities and open-source libraries.
- Professional cybersecurity or cryptography consultants.
- Advanced AI models (such as ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini) capable of guiding you through decryption using your private key.
BeyondVault.app uses universally recognized encryption standards (AES-GCM), ensuring independence from the platform for decryption at any time.
No Guarantee of Service Continuity: BeyondVault.app reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the service at its sole discretion, at any time, without notice. Such actions may occur for reasons including but not limited to maintenance, legal compliance, or business closure. We will not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from service changes or termination.
No Legal Relationship Created: Use of BeyondVault.app does not establish any legal partnership, agency, joint venture, employment, or fiduciary relationship between you and BeyondVault.app. The service is offered strictly on a self-service, self-managed basis.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BeyondVault.app and its operators from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your failure to secure your Vault or private key, or your violation of these terms.
No Liability for Damages: Under no circumstances shall BeyondVault.app be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, goodwill, use, or other intangible losses resulting from (i) your use or inability to use the service; (ii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; (iii) statements or conduct of any third party; or (iv) any other matter relating to the service.
Jurisdiction: These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Switzerland.
Final Acceptance: By continuing, you affirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Use in their entirety, and that you accept full responsibility for safeguarding your Vault and private key. You acknowledge that BeyondVault.app offers no guarantees, assumes no responsibility for your data or its accessibility, and that you use the service entirely at your own risk.
