Frequently Asked Questions
How can I store confidential access data (login/password) without naming them explicitly?
Use the file name to describe the context (for example, bank-login.enc) and only write the sensitive data in the form, without mentioning "login" or "password".
Everything stays local in your browser, with no data sent to any server.
Can I rename the encrypted file?
Yes! You can rename the file to make it more meaningful for you, as long as you keep the .enc extension. This helps you recognize the content at a glance without opening it.
Can I separate the Vault file and the key?
Yes, and this is a recommended practice. You can give the encrypted .enc file to one trusted person, and the private key to another. Only the combination of both will allow access to the content.
Can I leave personal messages or instructions for my loved ones?
Of course. BeyondVault is perfect for this. You can store heartfelt messages, instructions, or anything you'd like your loved ones to discover in the future.
Do I need an internet connection to use BeyondVault?
No. Once the page is loaded, you can switch off your internet connection. All encryption happens locally in your browser.
Is this a one-time payment?
Yes. BeyondVault operates on a simple one-time payment model per Vault created. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
What file types are supported?
BeyondVault supports many formats: Word, Excel, HTML, Markdown, text files, and more. Simply upload your document, and it will be securely encrypted.
What if I lose my private key?
If you lose your private key, you will not be able to decrypt your Vault. BeyondVault does not store any data or keys. Always keep your key in a safe place.
Is the encryption really 100% local?
Yes. All encryption is done inside your browser, using military-grade AES-GCM algorithms. No data ever leaves your device.
Can I store multiple pieces of information in a single Vault?
Absolutely. You can write as much as you want within the character limit, or upload a document containing structured information.
Can I edit a Vault after it's created?
No. Vaults are immutable. To update your information, simply create a new Vault.
Does BeyondVault work on mobile?
Yes! BeyondVault is fully responsive and works on all modern mobile browsers.
What happens if I accidentally delete my Vault file?
BeyondVault does not keep backups. If you lose your Vault file and your private key, your data cannot be recovered.
Can I use BeyondVault for professional purposes?
Absolutely. BeyondVault is suitable for both personal and professional use, helping you secure sensitive information and business-critical data.
Can I create my own custom HTML page and upload it to my Vault?
Absolutely! BeyondVault fully supports HTML files. You can build a personalized page with your information and encrypt it as your Vault.
What happens after I purchase my Vault?
Right after your payment, you’ll download a ZIP file containing:
